You don’t have to tear apart the entire weather-sealed shell just to get to the part that actually matters. Keeping the Water Out Now, the tricky part is making sure the heater stays watertight. If you open it up to swap a part, you don’t want a rainstorm turning your electronics into a toaster. We solved this with compression gaskets and locking fasteners. It’s simple. You drop the new module in, tighten things down, and the seal resets itself. It stays tight. It stays dry. You don’t have to worry about a leak ruining your night. Real-World Maintenance If you’ve ever tried to fix something outside in the wind, you know it’s a mess. You don’t want to be soldering wires or fighting with rusted screws while your fingers are freezing. That’s why we used quick-connect terminals. You just unplug the old one, slide it out, and click the new one into place.Click. Done. One quick tip, though: while you’re in there, grab a cloth and wipe down the reflector. These high-wattage tubes get incredibly hot, and dust loves to settle on the aluminum. If that reflector is dirty, your heat won’t travel nearly as far, no matter how brand new the tube is. Give it a quick wipe every time you swap a module, and you’ll get that warmth back to where it should be.
