Shaping the Heat
Standard radiators usually follow a boring pattern: hot in the middle, cooler at the ends. We don’t do that. Instead, we play around with how the filament is wound—changing the pitch and the diameter. By tweaking the winding density, we can build “hot zones” or keep the heat flat across the whole tube. It’s a huge help when you’re trying to mimic real-world stress. We use high-purity quartz envelopes because they heat up and cool down fast. It sounds like a small detail, but it changes your whole day. One heads-up, though: if you go for extreme power density in a really short tube, your connectors are going to feel the heat.
